- BETTER BALL OF PARTNERS (GROSS & NET)
Each player plays their own ball for the entire round.
The team score on each hole is the lower of the two scores.
- Gross: no handicap applied
- Net: handicap applied, then lower net score counts
Example:
Player A = 5, Player B = 6 → Team score = 5
- AGGREGATE (GROSS & NET)
Both players play their own ball.
The team score is the combined total of both players’ scores.
- Gross: raw scores added together
- Net: both players’ net scores are added together
Example:
Player A = 5, Player B = 6 → Team score = 11
- SCRAMBLE (NET)
Both players hit tee shots.
The team selects the best position for their second shot, and both players hit from that spot.
This process continues until the ball is holed.
- Only one ball is in play at all times
- SHAMBLE (GROSS & NET)
Both players hit tee shots.
The team selects the best drive.
From that point, each player plays their own ball to the hole.
- Score is determined by the lower of the two scores on the hole
Example:
Player A = 5, Player B = 6 → Team score = 5
- CHAPMAN (GROSS & NET)
Both players hit tee shots.
Players then switch balls and hit their partner’s ball for the second shot.
After the second shot, the team chooses one ball and plays alternate shot until the hole is completed.
Summary flow:
- Both tee off
- Switch balls and hit second shots
- Choose best ball
- Alternate shot to finish
- ALTERNATE SHOT (GROSS)
One ball per team.
- Player A tees off on odd holes (or assigned holes)
- Player B tees off on even holes
- Players alternate shots until the ball is holed
- STABLEFORD
Players earn points on each hole based on score relative to par.
Point Structure
- Bogey = 1 point
- Par = 2 points
- Birdie = 4 points
- Eagle = 6 points
Team score = total points accumulated.
